Briar Cliff is proud to have been preparing the leaders of this global pandemic. From nurses to social workers to educators around the U.S. and beyond, BCU is proud of our alumni and students.

Briar Cliff University Nursing alumnae (‘14), Reni Mathai-George always puts her heart into her work, even more so now. Working as a registered nurse at The Children's Hospital at Montefiore, near New York City, Reni is saving lives working the front lines.

From the time Joey Hoefling (‘98 & ‘13) graduated with his bachelor of science degree in nursing, he always knew he wanted to be a nurse practitioner. After much praying and realizing his calling was taking care of people instead of managing people, he returned to Briar Cliff University to obtain his master of science in nursing.

Providing care for others was something Katie Hunt (‘12) always wanted to do, that’s why she chose to study nursing at Briar Cliff University. Originally a pre-medicine biology major, she switched because of the additional hands-on care and time with patients that a nursing career would allow.
