Transfer Admissions Checklist:

  1. Complete an Application for Admission | Required GPA 2.0
  2. Send all official College Transcripts | These are required for acceptance
  3. Visit the Briar Cliff University campus | Go to
  4. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) | Briar Cliff's code is 001846
  5. Receive and review your financial aid award | Packages are mailed shortly after FAFSA information is received
  6. Submit a housing application and enrollment deposit | This reserves your room and holds your scholarships in place
  7. Sign up for orientation
  8. Move into residence halls
  9. Begin classes

Get Awarded up to $14,000

Briar Cliff University transfer scholarships are only available to first-time transfer students who are entering our student body with a minimum transfer CGPA of 2.0. The total scholarship amount awarded will be allotted throughout your time at Briar Cliff University, provided a minimum CGPA of 2.0 is maintained.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship | $4,000
Only transfer students who are a member of Phi Theta Kappa are eligible to receive a renewable Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship. The total scholarship amount awarded will be allotted throughout your time at Briar Cliff University,  provided a minimum CGPA of 2.0 is maintained.

Meet Your Transfer Counselor 


Kelsie Carlson

I grew up in Hinton, Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's of Family Services. My husband, Chad and I have two kids under the age of two, Briggs and Palmer. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends, hanging out by our pool, spending time in Yankton, and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes. I enjoy shopping and decorating other people's houses. I am thrilled to be a part of the BCU family! Kelsie is the go-to counselor for students transferring in with 30+ credits who want to take classes on campus.

Rose Molacek

I have worked for Briar Cliff University for 23 years. My journey has taken me down various paths, including recruiting, advising and adjunct teaching for business department. I have a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Briar Cliff in Human Resources and a Master's from Southwest Minnesota in Educational Leadership. Rose is the enrollment coordinator of online undergraduate and graduate health science degrees.

I lived out on the west coast for about 3 years after college before moving back home and starting our family. I love being a member of the Charger Family.
