I had no idea about the behavior analytic world when I started college. But ever since I was introduced to the science, I have found my passion ... I get to do something with my life that will benefit others.
“I had never even considered research as a career option until I started working on a research project and realized how much I enjoyed the challenge that research presents,” she said. “Since I had this experience at Briar Cliff, it was an easier transition into my current job.”
"This experience has helped me with my graduate school applications, learning how to present under different situations (classroom vs research presentation) and to different audiences and how to adapt to these differences," said Kristin.
"One of the great things about Briar Cliff is that there is not just one person who goes above and beyond on campus to support you in your goals in life, but almost everyone does," said Tobe. "In every single year at the Cliff I can name a different professor, staff, or student who gave me tremendous aid to make my time here successful."
“Now that I’m in a graduate program for writing, I’m realizing now more than ever how outstanding the Modern Languages department is,” says Melanie. “My time as an English major at Briar Cliff gave me the foundation I needed to hit the ground running.”
I am extremely happy I made the right decision to finish my education at a school that cares so much about me and my education. Thank you BCU for giving me the opportunity to turn my dreams into reality.
Academically, I felt that the programs that I was interested in would provide a strong foundation for pursuing a career in physical therapy. Coming from a small school, I liked the small class sizes and getting the chance to build a relationship with my teachers. Furthermore, I was drawn in by the sense of community that I felt on campus.
