Briar Cliff University is accepting applications for the position of Director of Financial Aid. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits. The Director leads and manages the University’s student financial assistance programs in accordance with federal, state and institutional policies; administers a comprehensive financial assistance program that supports the recruitment and retention of qualified students; supervises staff and budgets, counsels students and parents, ensures compliance with federal and state procedures, and maintains records.
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. Applicants should have 3-5 years of financial aid or similar experience; a demonstrated understanding of financial aid programs and regulations; superior oral and written communication skills; demonstrated skills in financial aid software systems; experience with integrated student information system (preferably Ellucian’s Colleague); excellent interpersonal and counseling skills; and a team-oriented attitude.
