Assistant Professor of Chemistry 

 

Briar Cliff University, an institution committed to higher education within a liberal arts and Catholic perspective, invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor in Chemistry to start in January or August of 2024. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

The duties include a 24-hour teaching load for the academic year in addition to advising chemistry majors and service to the University. Anticipated teaching responsibilities include introductory chemistry classes, Organic Chemistry I and II, Physical Chemistry I and II, Inorganic Chemistry, and/or Quantitative Analysis and one or more courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.

 

Requirements:

Candidates will have earned (or nearly completed) a Ph.D. chemistry or a closely related field. The ability and willingness to direct student-driven research is desired. Successful candidates will also demonstrate a commitment to high-impact teaching practices in a Catholic and Franciscan University.
