Sherry Koehler has been the graduate coordinator for academic and community partnerships at Briar Cliff since Jan. 2017. Koehler came to Briar Cliff from Mercy Medical Center, where she was the magnet and clinical development director.
In her nursing career, Sherry has found a love for quality, safety, and process improvement. She has been able to apply these practices with individual patients in the acute, clinic, and home care settings. She has also applied these concepts on a systems level for several different health care organizations. Prior to Briar Cliff, Sherry developed a nurse residency program to assist newly graduated nurses with transitioning from the classroom to professional practice. She enjoys working with nursing students and preparing them for practice that includes quality, safety, and process improvement.
