In addition to overseeing management of athletic events and the sports information office, Jared — a BCU alumnus — is also responsible for building the university’s strategic plan for the Charger Foundation, which focuses on engagement with student-athletes, parents, alumni, businesses and community partners to advance the mission of the athletic department and the university as a whole.
Bodammer has worked with the university’s athletic department for 17 years in different capacities, and in 2014 he received the Clarence “Ike” Pearson award as the outstanding NAIA Sports Information Director of the year. He is an active leader within the Great Plains Athletic Conference and has managed statistical crews at both the NAIA volleyball and DII women’s basketball national championship tournaments.
Bodammer coached the women's soccer program for seven seasons, leading the Chargers to the playoffs five times, and championed some of the most successful seasons in the school’s history. Bodammer is a member of NSCAA, CoSIDA and the Siouxland Soccer Foundation board. He also serves as an assistant girls' soccer coach at Bishop Heelan High School, where the Crusaders won a state championship in 2014.
Jared and his wife Jill Bodammer, a Briar Cliff alum, reside in Sioux City, Iowa, and have twin boys, Tristan and Landon.
