Student Organizations Donate Gifts

December 16, 2020

The Crittenton Center and the Youth For Christ Organization received some extra joy this holiday season from Briar Cliff University clubs Catholic Daughters and Men and Women of Color.

Catholic Daughters of Briar Cliff rallied to give families of the Crittenton Center a memorable Christmas. With 80 angels, Briar Cliff’s DPT program as well as students, faculty, and staff generously gave each family at least two toys.

“I believe it’s important to help the Crittenton Center because they help families that are down on their luck try to make a future for themselves,” says Katie Logan, senior president of Catholic Daughters.

Members of Men and Women of Color teamed up to bring 30 gifts to 30 students in the Youth For Christ Organization. Members assisted with donation collection, wrapping, and handing out gifts.

“We thought this organization would be perfect because 12-18 year olds are the age range of students that are often forgotten in donation efforts,” says Jay Rhodes, Men of Color advisor. “We felt it would be perfect to provide an aspect of connection with their youth and our student leaders.”

With a culture of giving, Briar Cliff University works with local and national nonprofits to provide and advocate for any community needs.
