2026 Homecoming King and Queen Crowned at Briar Cliff University

Briar Cliff University is proud to introduce its 2026 Homecoming Court. The 10 seniors on this year's court were nominated by their classmates, and each excels both inside and outside the classroom.

Homecoming Queen: Emma Erickson

Emma Erickson, daughter of Jason and Dana Erickson, is from Newell, Iowa. She is an elementary education major with endorsements in reading, special education and coaching, and she competes on the Charger women's golf team.

Erickson is also active across campus. She takes part in Campus Ministry, Catholic Daughters, A PAL, the Jazz Ensemble and the Education Club, and she serves as an Admissions Ambassador, a research assistant at the campus library and a resident assistant.

Homecoming King: Derek Scheuring

Derek Scheuring, son of Louis and Lisa Scheuring, is from Defiance, Iowa. He is an elementary education major and a member of the Charger football team and the Jazz Band. He also serves as an A PAL coordinator.
