Briar Cliff reading series to feature renowned author James Schaap

Sioux City, Iowa - Briar Cliff University will host a reading by author James C. Schaap on Thursday, November 8 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Meis Recital Hall on Briar Cliff’s campus. Schaap’s visit is part of the University’s Phil Hey Reading Series.

A retired literature and writing professor from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, Schaap is a contributor to the KWIT Public Radio Small Wonders series. His reading at Briar Cliff will be recorded as part of the Small Wonders series.

Schaap is the author of several novels and a host of short stories and essays. His most recent publications include Up the Hill: Folk Tales from the Grave and Reading Mother Teresa, a collection of meditations. He currently lives in Alton, Iowa with his wife Barbara.
