Sioux City, IA - Briar Cliff University is partnering with the University of Iowa School of Social Work to host an ethics workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, October 12 at the St. Francis Center on the Briar Cliff campus.
The workshop, “Workshopping Ethics: Using frameworks to arrive at principled decisions in micro and macro social work practice,” will teach attendants three ethical decision-making models that can be used in micro or macro practice. The workshop will be led by Liz Rembold, Briar Cliff Social Work Program Director and assistant professor, and Julia Kleinschmit, University of Iowa clinical associate professor, Sioux City Practicum and Program Administrator and MSW Program Director.
This workshop meets the criteria of an approved continuing education program for social workers in Iowa and Nebraska. Participants who complete the workshop meet the requirement for Social Work Ethics and are eligible for three contact hours of credit toward social work licensure. The workshop is free for current social work students, faculty, adjuncts and field instructors from the University of Iowa. The registration fee for all others interested in the workshop is $40.
