Charger Closet Gives Interview Confidence

September 17, 2020

(Sioux City, IA) A new student support program to assist students in pursuing their goals has sprung on the Briar Cliff University campus. “Charger Closet” is preparing students to make great first impressions out in the community and at job interviews.

“We are excited about the support behind this initiative and look forward to sending our students to pursue their dreams while feeling put together and confident,” says Erin Cron, Director of New Student Navigation.

The Charger Closet is accepting high quality, up-to-date donations such as apparel, shoes, and accessories (i.e., neckties, belts, cuff links, etc.) for students to wear in professional settings.

“We find that when students are ready to do their practicums or internships, they often don’t have the clothing necessary for them to feel confident and look professional,” Cron says. “There are students who come to campus with very little, investing their family resources on getting to BCU while sometimes not able to take care of some of the other elements of being successful in college.”

Students can visit the Charger Closet in Heelan Hall 052 during normal business hours of 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or by appointment to keep anonymity. For freshly laundered community donations, contact Erin Cron at erin.cron@briarcliff.edu for pick up arrangements.
