Briar Cliff University Names Cindy March as Vice President of Finance

(Sioux City, Iowa – September 25, 2026) Briar Cliff University has welcomed Cindy March as its new Vice President of Finance. March officially begins her role on October 5. 

March brings more than two decades of experience in guiding financial performance, planning, and business strategy. In her most recent role as Chief Financial Officer for AgState in Cherokee, Iowa, March led the implementation of a CPM platform that modernized budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Her previous experience includes positions as Senior Manager of Financial Planning at Wells Enterprises in Le Mars. She has also held CFO and Controller positions at CW Suter Services, Platinum Grain, and Platinum Ethanol.

“Cindy brings extensive financial leadership experience and a strong understanding of strategic financial planning to Briar Cliff,” said Dr. Matthew Draud, President of Briar Cliff University. “We are excited to welcome her to our executive team as we continue working toward a strong financial future for the University.”

March earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Management from Buena Vista University in 2002 and completed an MBA from Northwest Missouri State University in 2026.

In her new role, March will oversee the financial management of the University, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
