Briar Cliff announces new Vice President of Finance

Briar Cliff University announces the addition of Patrick Jacobson-Schulte, B.A, M.B.A, D.B.A (ABD), as Vice President of Finance. 

As Vice President of Finance at Briar Cliff, Jacobson-Schulte will oversee the financial activity of the University and forecast future performance and needs. He will direct all aspects of accounting operations, analyze finance results, provide strategic guidance and financial planning, as well as oversee human resources, employee benefits, risk management, and information technology.

We look forward to his leadership and enthusiasm at the University.”

Relocating from Lakeville, MN, Jacobson-Schulte has diverse experience in finance and administration, with a strong educational background. Most recently, he served as the Executive Director of Finance and Operations for Northeast Metro Intermediate School District 916, Vice President Chief Financial Officer at Dakota County Technical College/Inver Hills Community College, and the Vice President for Finance and Treasurer at The Sage Colleges.

Jacobson-Schulte received his Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, Economics; Master of Business Administration; and is currently working towards his Doctor of Business Administration (ABD) from Saint Mary’s University. He was also an adjunct faculty member at Augsburg University while serving in several volunteer roles within education.

In 2019, Briar Cliff University partnered with Timm Funk, a Briar Cliff alum, through CFO Next, Inc., an interim financial services firm, where he served as interim Vice President of Finance and Administration for the University.
