Alverno Hall Renovation First-Look

March 27, 2023

Briar Cliff University students catch the first glimpse of what the Alverno Hall $4.5 million renovation will look like as they anticipate their housing assignments for the coming year.

The renovation, which will begin immediately following this academic year, will be completed by the end of the Fall 2023 semester. Students who are placed in Toller Hall, will be the first to relocate to the newly remodeled Alverno Hall. They will have the opportunity to move before or after winter break, following the completion of the renovation. This move will assist in the next stages of construction on Briar Cliff’s campus, as we prepare for the new College of Health & Equity.

We are excited to share more about what to expect with the residential room updates in Alverno Hall. These rooms will have new flooring, paint, furniture, and fixtures. Furniture includes a new bed, mattress, wardrobe, two-drawer dresser, side table, desk, and chair for each student. There will no longer be built-in closets in this space to allow students to customize their rooms creatively. New bathrooms and improvements to the hallways and lounges will also be completed.

The University is looking forward to continuing to develop possibilities to keep improving the residence life experience here on campus.
