12th Annual Entrepalooza Celebrates Entrepreneurship in Siouxland

Siouxland organizations will co-sponsor Entrepalooza, a celebration of entrepreneurial spirit in Siouxland.

This year’s Entrepalooza takes place on Feb. 4th, 14th, and 16th.

Friday, Feb. 4: Iowa’s West Coast Initiative is hosting First Friday Coffee at 9 a.m. at Design West, 1014 Design Pl, in downtown Sioux City. Stacy Kazos, owner of The Market Delivers will talk about her new food delivery business. Participants will have the opportunity to network and enjoy donuts from Jitters.

Monday, Feb. 14: Kicking off by selecting this year’s winner of “Love A Local,” which encourages Siouxland shoppers to buy their Valentine’s Day gift from a locally owned business. For a chance to win a $100 gift card at their favorite Siouxland business, residents can visit the “Love a Local” Facebook page (www.facebook.com/SiouxlandSmallBusiness/) for instructions and rules. Two entrants will win a gift certificate, contest ends Valentine’s Day. “Love a Local” is sponsored by the BCU Enactus team. For more information, contact jonas.reinke@briarcliff.edu.  

Wednesday, Feb. 16: Briar Cliff’s Enactus team will host the annual “Swimming with the Sharks” competition. Finalists will vie for mini-grants valued up to $4,000. For contest rules and applications, visit briarcliff.edu/sharks or Swimming with the Sharks (Siouxland) on Facebook. Applications for grants are open now until midnight on February 5. Five finalists will pitch to judges for grants of up to $4,000 on the 16th at 7 p.m. in the Stark Student Center at Briar Cliff University.
