Graduation & Commencement

Congratulations Graduates!

Congratulations Graduates!

The Class of 2021 graduation ceremony will take place this spring on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in the Tyson Events Center.

Unique This Year!  We have moved to a larger indoor venue so that our seating options can better accommodate social distancing. All event attendees will need to complete a Charger Health Check to gain approval to visit campus or attend an event. To do this on the day of your event, please text “BCU Visitor” to the number 58052. Immediately, you will receive a link to the Charger Health Check survey. Once you have completed that survey and received a green pass result you will be allowed to attend. Please be ready to show your pass result before entering any Briar Cliff University event.

The First Step

All graduates must apply to graduate to kick start our diploma verification process, help us order apparel, and plan the commencement ceremony. The application deadline is March 15th.

Students who complete 100 hours of service or more will be awarded with a service honor cord to be worn at commencement.

The deadline to submit your volunteer hours and receive a cord for graduation is Monday, March 12th. Submit Your Hours

Receive Your Military Cord - This red, white, and blue cord honors active or veteran students graduating. All graduating students who are eligible should indicate on their application to graduate or contact the registrar by March 15th.
