Education Accreditation

The Bachelor of Arts in Education (BA) is approved by the State Department of Education of Iowa for the certification of teachers.

Professional Licensure
The Briar Cliff University Education programs “meet” the requirements in Iowa, 44 other states, DC, and seven of the eight US Territories as confirmed by the Iowa IHE Licensure Reciprocity sheet. The education programs would be “does not meet” the requirements in Kansas, Kentucky, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Students wishing to practice Education in a “does not meet” state should research the research the state-specific requirements.
