“Alumni Voices” Reading Series

Briar Cliff University presents “Alumni Voices” as a part of the Phil Hey Reading Series at 7 p.m. on March 18 in Meis Recital Hall.

Sonia Perea-Morales has written “Beasts Live in Us,” about her complicated relationship with her father and “Monarchs and Mirrors” and “Where We Take Root” where she tells her mother’s journey to the Midwest. She has presented at Sigma Tau Delta conferences, Women Waiting to Exhale and Beacon Story Lab.

Emily Anderson is currently completing her masters in English at the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she recently received the John J. McKenna Graduate Fellowship in Creative Nonfiction. She is also a teaching artist through the Nebraska Writers Collective and a Louder Than a Bomb mentor.
