The NAACP Sioux City Chapter invites the community to a Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The event will be held at Briar Cliff University’s Chapel of Our Lady of Grace, located at 3303 Rebecca Street in Sioux City. The evening will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and will feature a keynote address by Dr. Shirley Mays, Law Professor at the University of South Dakota. The program will also include musical selections by the MLK Gospel Community Choir. Community members are invited to join the choir, with rehearsals scheduled for January 9 and January 16 at 7:00 PM in the Recital Hall on the Briar Cliff University campus.
