The 8,150-square foot atrium in where all of the traffic in Heelan Hall converges. Students meet, hang out between classes and study in this bustling space. They can also order snacks or coffee on-the-go at the remodeled Java City coffee shop.
The versatile room is also used for receptions — including those following performances in Meis Recital Hall, which is connected to the west side of the atrium.
The atrium was built as part of the 2012 Heelan Hall renovation. It sits where the old Heelan parking lot was once located, and merges Heelan's classic architecture with a modern touch, including clerestory windows on the fourth floor along plenty of natural lighting.
