Online RN-BSN Program Curriculum
The online RN-BSN program is an online degree completion program that requires 30-34 credit hours of coursework through Briar Cliff University, depending on previous academic credit.
All RN-BSN courses are eight-week courses with the exception of the following: NURS 339-Pathophysiology, NURS 303-Pharmacology, and NURS 356-Biological & Health Aspects of Aging.
A sample curriculum is as follows:
Year One: Fall Semester
- NURS 310 – Theoretical Bases for Nursing Practice (RN-BSN only)
- LIBS 301 – Digital Research for Academic Endeavors
- NURS 320 – Health Assessment for Registered Nurses (RN-BSN only)
Year One: Spring Semester
- NURS 305 – Evidence-Based Practice and Research in Nursing (RN-BSN only)
- PHIL 212 – Ethics in Business and Society
Year One: Summer Semester
- NURS 339 – Pathophysiology for Registered Nurses (RN-BSN only)
Year Two: Fall Semester
- NURS 435 – Nursing Leadership in the Health Care Delivery System (RN-BSN only)
- NURS 405 – Nursing Process in the Community I (RN-BSN only)
Year Two: Spring Semester
- MATH 150 – Essentials of Statistics
- Student must also take an additional nursing elective at a course level of 300 or higher. (3-4 credits)
Year Two: Summer Semester
- NURS 455 – Nursing Process in the Community II (RN-BSN only)
