SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Briar Cliff University is pleased to announce new faculty member Dr. Michael Waller to campus.
Dr. Waller is now an associate professor of kinesiology and human performance at BCU. He earned a Ph.D. in exercise and sport science from the University of Utah and a Master of Arts degree in exercise science from Concordia University (River Forest, Ill.).
Prior to Briar Cliff, he served as an assistant professor at the University of St. Francis (Ind.). The owner and director of M.A.S.S. Sports Performance, Dr. Waller serves on the written examination committee for the Collegiate Strength and Conditinoing Coaches Association (CSCCa), and is an NSCA-certified strength and conditioning specialist and personal trainer. He has coached weightlifters and powerlifters and the high school, collegiate and national levels; and also served as a strength and conditioning coach for athletes at all levels — from junior high to NCAA Division I to professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).
