Sioux City, Iowa – The 1930, a women’s philanthropy initiative committed to supporting and empowering female students at Briar Cliff University, has named Christie Finnegan and Mary Guinane as the co-chairs for the organization.
Christie Finnegan ‘97 is the Executive Director of Goosmann Law Firm in Sioux City, IA. She oversees the development and growth of Goosmann and leads the Firm’s business development efforts. Prior to joining Goosmann, Christie spent more than 15 years in fundraising, marketing and public relations leadership roles. She received her B.A. in mass communications from Briar Cliff.
Mary Guinane ’87 is a Senior Writer for the RKD Group in Palm Springs, FL, and the owner and copywriter of The Write Answer, specializing in direct response and fundraising copy. She is an experienced freelance professional whose work has helped nonprofit organizations raise funds and connect with donors. Mary earned a B.A. in psychology at Briar Cliff and a M.S. in child development at Iowa State University.
The 1930 is a community dedicated to participating in and promoting volunteer and philanthropic leadership at Briar Cliff University. Led by mission-focused women, The 1930 is a place where powerful, knowledgeable and unique voices come together to inspire the next generation of female leaders and philanthropists. The goal of the organization is to unite 1,930 Influencers in supporting a future of boundless opportunities for female students at Briar Cliff by 2030, the 100th anniversary of the University.
