Sioux City, IA – Briar Cliff University will be exhibiting the artwork of Omaha artist and architect Thomas Prinz from January 25 through March 15 at the Clausen Art Gallery on Briar Cliff’s campus. Prinz will give a gallery talk at 6 p.m. during the opening reception on January 25 from 5 - 7 p.m.
Prinz’s exhibit, entitled “Constructs (A+A),” focuses on the interactions of contrasting parts, fusing influences found in modern physics and Eastern mysticism.
“Where everything is interrelated. Modern physics proclaims the unity of all things. Eastern mysticism based on the concept of opposites, the yin and the yang,” says Prinz. “The universe always changes; the continuous flow and change of all things arise from the dynamic and cyclical interplay of opposites (unity).”
Open to the public, the exhibit is sponsored by the Sr. Jordan Dahm Endowed Exhibition and Lectureship in the Visual Arts, which was established in 1991 by the alumni of the Department of Art at Briar Cliff.
