College of Health & Equity

The College of Health and Equity is a new academic facility that will consolidate all healthcare education programs and pro bono clinics at one single site. The College of Health and Equity will:

  • Produce the desperately needed, diverse healthcare workforce to serve the surrounding rural and tribal communities;

  • Enable Briar Cliff to achieve the status of Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institution (NASNTI) and become a national model of success for others to emulate. Approximately 1.8% of our enrollment identifies as Native American, and we need to get to 10%;

  • Enable Briar Cliff to cross the finish line in achieving the status of Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). Approximately 20% of our enrollment identifies as Hispanic, and we need to get to 25%; and

  • Create an increase in our enrollment, allowing us to provide a healthcare workforce in perpetuity without additional investment.

The completion of the College of Health and Equity will allow us to generate 101 graduates annually by 2030. Briar Cliff University expects to produce up to 913 new early-career health care professionals.
