Federal and State Grants are money to help pay for college or career school. This money is awarded annually based on need and, generally, the amounts awarded will vary based on your individual financial situation. This money does not have to be repaid.

Work-study

Federal work-study jobs help students earn money to pay for college or career school. Undergraduate and graduate students with work-study jobs will work part-time on or off-campus while enrolled. At Briar Cliff, eligible students can earn extra financial aid with a part-time federal work-study position on campus, usually earning anywhere from $500 to $3,000 per year. Awards are based on financial need, be sure to file your FAFSA by the annual deadline to be considered.

Scholarships

Choosing to invest your time today has the potential to save your future self thousands.  While the qualifications and the amounts awarded vary based on each individual scholarship or incentive opportunity, we recommend that every traditional and transfer undergraduate student explore the scholarship page and take advantage of every opportunity that interests them.

What You Actually Pay

Your remaining investment each semester can be covered in one of two ways. We recommend working with your family to figure out what amount you can plan to cover over the next year. Then, work with our financial services team to navigate the loan options available to you that will help you cover your remaining balance. Loans are borrowed money that has to be paid back.

Once you are accepted into Briar Cliff University, complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®), and have applied for scholarships, you can expect to receive your personal financial aid award letter. Your award letter will show you the financial aid options available to you. Don't hesitate to contact our Financial Services Team, if you have any questions.
