Management Information Systems is the science of taking data, processing it, and transforming it into meaningful information that can be readily understood by key organization workers. The minor in Management Information Systems (MIS) combines the areas of business and computer science to educate individuals in the effective and efficient handling of one of the most important organizational resources: information. The management information systems minor is designed to teach basic skills in the area of business, computer science and efficient handling of data.
