In the heartland is a hidden gem: The Briar Cliff Review.

Founded in 1989, The Briar Cliff Review is an eclectic international literary and art magazine created and edited by students and faculty at Briar Cliff University that publishes the work of writers and artists from around the world. Each year, the journal holds a fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction contest from August 1 to November 1, and general submissions for publication are open year-round. Learn about the contest guidelines and view past issues at www.bcreview.org

Students interested in learning about about the world of writing, editing, and publishing are encouraged to learn more about The Briar Cliff Review and get involved in the annual process of its creation. For more information, contact Tricia Currans-Sheehan.
