The Briar Cliff University Social Work program “meets” the requirements in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Washington DC, as confirmed by a collaboration with the other higher education social work programs in Iowa.
All other states and the US territories, the programs would be “does not meet” the requirements, including California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.
Students wishing to practice Social Work in a “does not meet” state should research the state-specific requirements.
The social work department has been accredited by the CSWE since 1974.
