Briar Cliff University invites all area female high school athletes to develop their personal leadership skills on and off the field during Women in Leadership and Sport Day, a one-of-a-kind event scheduled for Sunday, September 30 on Briar Cliff’s campus.
Beginning at 1 pm, this game changing event will kick off with a special welcome by recognizable female sports leaders followed by breakout sessions led by former BCU athletic standouts and coaches. Session topics will include overcoming barriers to female leadership, using athletic experience to prepare for life after college, tips for becoming a successful leader and overcoming adversity in relationships.
A dinner with Briar Cliff coaches and student athletes will be held at 5 pm following the event’s breakout sessions for all event attendees.
Briar Cliff University is home to 18 NAIA collegiate athletic teams including nine women’s sports and is part of the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
