Sioux City, IA - The Briar Cliff University Enactus team was recently named a regional champion and will travel to Kansas City, Missouri to compete as one of 100+ regional champions from around the country at the Enactus United States National Exposition from May 20 through 22.
Briar Cliff students presented a live, multi-media summary of the entrepreneurial-based projects they developed and implemented. They were judged by a panel of business leaders on how successful they were at using business concepts which empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.
Briar Cliff’s Enactus presentation team includes Clare Hollman, Lucas Manganaro, Ana Freire, Liam Mangan, Luis Hernandez, Tyler Krajewski, Jordyn Lamoureux and Andrew Stover.
“Our Enactus students’ success is based on their commitment to transforming lives through entrepreneurial action,” says Dr. Judy Thompson, professor of business administration at Briar Cliff and faculty advisor to the Enactus team. “They continue to represent Briar Cliff so well through their creativity, leadership and innovative spirit.”
This is the fifteenth consecutive year Briar Cliff’s Enactus team has won their regional competition. The student organization is just one of several unique and hands on experiences offered through Briar Cliff’s business department. The department offers programs in business administration, marketing, sports management, accounting, international business and entrepreneurship and small business management.
