Sioux City, Iowa - The Briar Cliff Athletic Department along with the Charger athletic teams will host a “Trunk or Treat” Halloween event, Halloween night, on the BC campus. The free, family event will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Oct. 31, in the lower parking lot to the east of the soccer field.
“Trunk or Treat provides a safe and fun trick-or-treating experience with less walking for families with little ones. Siouxland has been very supportive of BCU athletics, and this event is a fun way for our student-athletes to give back to the community while interacting with some of our smallest fans,” said Briar Cliff Director of Athletic Relations and Associate AD Jared Bodammer.
“Trunk or Treat” is an alternative to traditional trick-or-treating and provides a safe environment for families to enjoy an inexpensive evening of Halloween fun in a festival-type atmosphere. Children trick-or-treat by going from car trunk to car trunk as Charger student-athletes fill their treat bags with candy. Admission is free.
Following the event, the BC volleyball team will host Northwestern at the Newman Flanagan Center. The varsity match will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. A junior varsity tilt is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
