Briar Cliff begins search for next president

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The Briar Cliff University Board of Trustees has unanimously agreed to immediately move forward with the search for the University's next president.

While plans are still being finalized, the Board is committed to implementing a process that will involve constituents from across the Briar Cliff community including faculty, staff, students, alumni and local leaders.

"We look forward to starting the process to identify the next President of Briar Cliff University," said Sister Kate Katoski, Chair of the Briar Cliff University Board of Trustees. "Input from the Briar Cliff community and local leaders will be vital to our search. The University is committed to naming a new leader who supports our mission and will ensure Briar Cliff remains a top choice for high academic achievement."

During the search process, Rachelle Karstens, Executive Vice President for Briar Cliff, will continue to oversee all day-to-day operations.

Additional plans for the presidential serach will be finalized during the Board of Trustees' next meeting on September 15.
