BCU Jazz Ensemble to Perform

The Briar Cliff University Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Bob Gibson, will perform a free public concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in the Briar Cliff Theatre on campus. 

A highlight of the event will be guest soloist trumpeter Justin Kisor, a Sioux City native who has performed with such greats as Wynton Marsalis, Wycliff Gordon and Nora Jones. Kisor also has been a featured soloist with the U.S. Navy Commodores.

The concert will include the works of Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Quincy Jones, Henry Mancini and West Coast writers Gordon Goodwin and Tom Kubis. A free-will offering will be taken.
