Sioux City, Iowa – Briar Cliff University (BCU) and Iowa Central Community College (ICCC) will sign a cooperative programs agreement for the online baccalaureate social work degree on Monday, October 8 at 8 a.m. on the ICCC campus.
The purpose of the agreement is to create a partnership between the two institutions that will assist ICCC students in preparation for a career in social work through the cooperative instruction of ICCC’s Associate of Arts degree program and BCU’s Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. Transferred courses between the two colleges will be accepted towards the BSW, and qualified students will be able to dual register.
Briar Cliff University offers over 40 programs of study including undergraduate, online degree completion, and graduate degrees in nursing, social work, business, education, and humanities among other fields. Iowa Central Community College is a community college in Fort Dodge, Iowa, with satellite campuses in Webster City and Storm Lake. Iowa Central Community College was organized in 1966 with a broad mandate to offer a vast array of educational opportunities to the residents of its nine-county area.
