Hi my name is Gerry Elsbernd. I am senior nursing student from Rochester, Minnesota also minoring in Gerontology. I have been active in many services activities including the Christmas party for persons with disabilities and then feed just one. Also, I accepted a nursing internship last summer with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and my future plans include moving to Des Moines as a staff nurse at mercy medical center. Hi my name is Taylor Craig. I am a junior Writing and Graphic Design double major from Hastings, Nebraska. I am on the golf team and also work in the Writing Center. Honors has given me fantastic opportunities to learn outside of the classroom, not to mention the experience of meeting new people!
My name is Emily Anderson. I hail from Le Mars, IA: the Ice Cream Capital of the World. I double major in English and writing. My friends sometimes refer to me as the “ weird prairie hippie.” The Honors Program has allowed me to take part in different hands-on experiences that fit my hippie and English lifestyles. I’ve worked alongside the Loess Hill Prairie Seminar director as well as members of the Loess Hills Audubon Society. I also spent my spring semester working as an aide in North High School’s AP English class.
