Kelsey Stevens received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree, with an emphasis in Human Biology at Chadron State College in 2007. She received a Master’s Degree in Basic Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Dakota in 2013. Her thesis involved defining a classification system based on the anatomy of disorders of sex development. She worked as a Lab Coordinator, Anatomy Presenter, and Instructor at the University of South Dakota and the Sanford School of Medicine from 2009-2018. She was also the assistant director of the South Dakota Body Donation Program from 2016-2018. Kelsey worked with the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions Anatomy and Physiology Department from February of 2018 until November of 2019 as the Anatomy Lab Manager and Instructor.
She is originally from Yankton, South Dakota and is thrilled to come home in her new position at Briar Cliff University. Kelsey works in the Physical Therapy department and will be teaching classes in Human Anatomy, Physiology, Neuroanatomy, and Embryology.
Her areas of research include disorders of sex development, the effects of osteoarthritis in the human knee joint, and Bloom’s taxonomy in health professions education.
