Ken Rueter has served as Vice President for Finance and Administration at Briar Cliff University since December, 2016. In his role, Rueter is responsible for the strategic oversight and management of the University’s financial resources and operations.
Rueter has more than 35 years of experience in higher education finance, including as vice president for business and finance at both Lyon (Ark.) College and Westminster (Mo.) College, his alma mater. He has a wide range of experience in project management, implementations of administrative software systems and managing operating budgets. He has also served as an associate professor of accounting at Westminster and as an accountant in the private sector.
A certified public accountant, Rueter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and ecomomics from Westminster and a Master's of Business Administration from Drake (Iowa) University.
