Sign up to join the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). To join the drive, you only need to be between the ages of 18 and 44, be willing to donate to any patient in need and meet health guidelines.
For patients diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening diseases, a bone marrow or cord blood transplant may be their best or only hope for a cure. Yet 70 percent of patients who need a transplant to do not have a matching donor in their family.
Visit the NMDP website to see if you qualify to be a donor or to make a financial contribution.
