Charger orientation is an exciting and important, one-day event that is required for all incoming new students at Briar Cliff. Orientation will help you to register for classes, meet new friends, and discover the supportive and caring community that is Briar Cliff!
All incoming students are encouraged to sign up for an in-person orientation session that works best for them. For out-of-state Future Chargers who are traveling long distances (residing 200+ miles away), we created the virtual session option to help accommodate all travel plans. Future Chargers who are enrolling in online programs will recieve specific orientation instructions from their program director or admission counselor.

Before and After Orientation |Online Course - Prior to Orientation, all Future Chargers are enrolled in an online Orientation course. Among other things, this course will allow you to begin to fill out paperwork in advance, get an overview from several departments, and learn about Briar Cliff. Students will promoted with an email to create login information a couple weeks before to their scheduled orientation dates.
Safety Procedures | COVID-19 - Unique This Year! We have moved our indoor events to larger spaces and will be limiting each sessions capacity to better accommodate social distancing. All attendees will need to complete a Charger Health Check to gain approval to visit campus or attend an event. On the day of your event, please text “BCU Visitor” to the number 58052. Immediately, you will receive a link to the Charger Health Check survey. Once you have completed that survey and received a green pass result you are allowed to attend. Please be ready to show your pass result before entering any Briar Cliff University event.
