Student Government

Briar Cliff Student Government (BCSG) is the voice of the student body. BCSG's major function is to represent the line of communication between students, faculty, and administration.

In addition to initiating some larger campus experience improvements, like the frisbee golf course, sand volleyball courts, rec courts, fire pit and much more, BCSG is responsible for representing the voice of all students on campus and ensuring every student’s voice is heard when Briar Cliff makes decisions regarding academics, student life, and university policies.

Represent Your Fellow Chargers

Senator applications are taken at any time, simply inquire to see if there are any vacancies. Executive officer positions are selected from the existing senator pool, with elections held in spring and those selected taking office a few weeks later. To run for an empty BCSG senator position, you must provide an essay explaining your background and why you want to represent your peers, and then meet the set number of peer signatures showing support for your candidacy.
