Evening/Weekend Degree Program for Adult Learners

Welcome to Briar Cliff University's Extended Campus ADVANCE Program. This premier program is a convenient opportunity for busy adults to earn a bachelor's degree while continuing to fulfill life's other important obligations.

We realize that existing commitments and responsibilities place limits on your higher education options. You need a flexible schedule designed to fit with the rest of your life. The ADVANCE Program brings accelerated degree programs to your doorstep and offers the opportunity for you to take as many or as few classes as you want - and pursue your degree at your own pace.

Distinctive Features
Briar Cliff's ADVANCE Program is housed in the School of Continuing and Graduate Studies. Drawing upon the strengths of the University, faculty in the ADVANCE Program upholds the highest standard of education. Our faculty is experienced in their respective fields and brings a rich history of practical and theoretical knowledge to the classroom.

The ADVANCE Program allows you to complete a degree at your own pace with flexible scheduling and affordable tuition. Should you find it necessary to reduce your class load or stop out, the programs allows a smooth, immediate resumption of your personal degree track. In addition, a competitive, affordable tuition rate plus various financial assistance options make the ADVANCE Program the most practical degree option available.

Class Schedule
ADVANCE classes cover the same material as day classes, but meet fewer times per week or term. Faculty utilizes various methods of teaching more conducive to adult learning.

Options for Credit
Flexible credit transfer.

Area of Study
The Extended Campus ADVANCE Program offers majors in the following areas: Accounting, Business Administration, Elementary Education K-6, Human Resource Management, and RN-BSN.

Campus Locations
Programs are offered on the campuses of Iowa Lakes Community College in Algona and Estherville and Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.

Dual Enrollment
Many of our students take advantage of dual enrollment at Briar Cliff University and the community college they are housed on. The option allows you the benefit of dual advising in planning your schedule and ensuring transferable credits and a seamless educational experience.

Enrolling in the Extended Campus ADVANCE Program is simple. Complete and mail an application form or apply online at www.briarcliff.edu. Request that copies of your official transcripts from each college or university previously attended be sent directly to us by each institution. Your transcripts are used to determine transfer credit and other available options for you.

Options for Financial Assistance
Many students attending Briar Cliff receive financial assistance in the form of grants and loans. We encourage you to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and explore the options for financial assistance.
