  • Complete the Application for Admission.
  • Provide high school transcripts. Current high school transcripts are necessary for acceptance. Final transcripts should be sent after graduation for permanent records and for participation in collegiate athletics.  If you have taken college credit classes, please provide those transcripts as well.
  • Sign Academic Pre-award. Scholarship information is provided to each student based on your ACT and grade point average. These scholarships range from $2000-$8500 depending on your academic criteria and residency on or off campus.  Please contact us if you haven't received this information.
  • Visit Briar Cliff University campus. You can set up your visit by calling 1-800-662-3303, extension 5200 or 1-712-279-5200. You can also sign up for a visit under Campus Visit on this website.
  • After acceptance, submit the Housing Application with the $150 tuition deposit.  Payment can be submitted in full or by three installments of $50 each with a check, money order, or credit card.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The form is used for all financial aid – federal, state, and BCU institutional aid. You can file this form as early as January 1.
  • Accept the financial aid award. Financial aid packages will be mailed shortly after we have received your FAFSA information. When the award is signed and returned, your financial aid money is set aside for you.
  • Sign up for a Registration day.  During the Registration day students will take placement tests, become better prepared for the transition to college, and advise and register for fall classes. Parents attend information sessions on financial aid, campus life, and student billing.  Registration materials will be mailed in early April. 
    One day Registration dates:  May 3, June 20, August 9, and August 22.  Two day Registration Days are June 7 & 8 and July 11 & 12.
  • Move into residence halls and begin classes in the Fall.
     
  • Complete fall new student orientation.
     
  • Begin Term I classes.
