Dr. Burton guest conducts honors and pre-all-state choirs

Dr. Sean Burton, division chair of arts and humanities, The Gilchrist Foundation director of choral activities, associate professor of music, was guest conductor for the South Dakota Music Educators Association’s Elementary Honor Choir, in Sioux Falls, S.D. He was also guest conductor for the Lewis Conference Choral Festival, Winnebago, Neb.; and clinician for the Iowa Choral Directors Association's Northwest District Pre-All-State Rehearsal, Sioux Center, Iowa.

Dr. Burton presented a choral literature session titled “A Very Short List of Guaranteed Victories for Treble Choir!” at the South Dakota Music Educators Association’s 2013 State Music Education Conference.

His review of the London Philharmonic Orchestra compact disc recording of Antonin Dvorak’s Stabat Mater was published in the Choral Journal.
