BCU Recognizes Employees for 325 Years of Service
Briar Cliff University recognized 325 years of service to the University at the Annual Employee Recognition Luncheon, held recently on campus. More than half of the 23 employees recognized have completed 10 years or more of service to Briar Cliff.
Honored for 40 years of service was Sister Mary Jane Koenigs, technical services and interlibrary loan librarian. Recognized for 35 years of service were Dr. Adam Frisch, professor of English and writing, and Richard Poole, professor and director of theatre. Briar Cliff employees recognized for 25 years of service were Monica Burrows, assistant director of financial aid, and Dr. Candice Coffin, professor of biology.
Honored for 20 years of service were Peggy Bauer, financial aid administrator, and Dr. Kenneth Berg, associate professor of education. Receiving 15-year service awards wereJared Bodammer, associate director of athletics, and Brenda Parkhill, director and counselor for Student Support Services.
Recognized for 10 years of service were Renee Allan, mailroom and textbook coordinator; Dr. Stephen Brown, department chair and associate professor of philosophy and theology; Dr. Barbara Condon, professor of nursing; Jeff LaFavor, associate director of Admissions and transfer students representative; and Sister Janet May, director of Campus Ministry.
Honored for five years of service wereDr. Stephanie Bell, associate professor of psychology; Teresa Kelley, instructor of nursing; Tasha Pointer, administrative assistant for Continuing Education; Tom Rethman, head football coach; Michelle Schaper, head women’s softball coach; Christine Schroeder, assistant women’s basketball coach; Jennifer Swanger, admissions assistant and application specialist; Kathy Weber, public access services librarian; and Nan Wilson, department chair and associate professor of art.
Also at the event, Dr. Matthew Pangborn, department chair and assistant professor of English and writing, was honored with BCU’s Emerging Faculty Scholar Award; Steve Gast, athletic director, was recognized with Briar Cliff’s Distinguished Administrator Award; and Rita Combs, faculty administrative assistant, was honored with BCU’s Distinguished Staff Award.
