MEN'S HOOPS: Dordt closes Chargers' season

The 13th-ranked Dordt Defenders won their sixth-straight game as they downed Briar Cliff, 91-76, in the quarterfinal round of this year's GPAC Postseason Tournament. It was Dordt's fourth-straight win over the Cliff and third-straight this season.
The loss ended Briar Cliff's season. The Chargers finished with a record of 19-12.
After a cold first half (31.4 percent), the Chargers warmed up in the second, shooting 62.5 percent from the field and 60 percent from downtown -- but it wasn't enough. Zach Otting led all Chargers with 24 points.
The Defenders shot 55.6 percent from the floor, including 35.3 percent from downtown. They also shot 92.6 percent from the line, making 20 of their 22 attempts in the second half. Chris Sievers led the Defenders with 23 points, while Trevor Wolterstorff tossed in 17 points.
