WOMEN'S HOOPS: Tigers overpower Chargers

The NAIA No. 9 Briar Cliff women's basketball team fell to the Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan, 96-72, in Mitchell, S.D. Lexie Henschke led the Chargers with 13 points, while Jordan Sanger was the only other Charger to finish in double-figures with 10. Dakota Wesleyan forced the Chargers into 23 turnovers and out-rebounded the Cliff 46-32 in the contest.

The loss drops the Chargers to 22-8 (13-7) and seats them as the fourth seed headed into the GPAC tournament. The Chargers will face-off against Dakota Wesleyan, again, on Wednesday, Feb. 20, in the first round of GPAC tournament play. Game time is scheduled for 7 pm at Briar Cliff's Ray Nacke Court.
