TRACK & FIELD: Cowan earns GPAC, national honors
Raheem Cowan has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week and the NAIA National Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 28 – Feb. 3.
At Saturday's Dennis Young Classic, hosted by Buena Vista, Cowan set a new school, meet and facility record with a leap of 15.54 meters. Cowan won the event by over five feet and is now the top triple jumper in the conference and in the nation by over a foot (13 inches). Cowan also finished third in the long jump at the Dennis Young Classic with a personal-best 6.89m.
