BCU Announces New Director for Briar Cliff Fund
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Briar Cliff University is pleased to announce Toni Tschann as director of the Briar Cliff Fund. In her new role, Tschann will manage the University’s annual giving efforts, which are focused on scholarship support.
Tschann brings to Briar Cliff more than 20 years of leadership experience in fundraising, including director of Development for Parent and Family Giving at the University of California, San Diego, and Annual Fund director at the University of San Francisco. Most recently, Tschann was director of Development at North Coast Repertory Theatre, Solana Beach, Calif., where she doubled 2011 revenue goals in her oversight of the Annual Fund.
“We are pleased to have Toni join the Briar Cliff community,” said Craig McGarry, vice president for University Relations. “Her expertise in fundraising combined with her personal commitment to and belief in the Briar Cliff mission will be a powerful force in our efforts to make a Catholic Franciscan education even more affordable through generous scholarships."
Tschann holds a master’s degree from the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, Minn., and a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Mass. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and a former member of the Board of Directors for the San Diego Association of Fundraising Professionals.
